The Power of Personal Responsibility Tour 2023 Update

Today is known as "Blue Monday" for many different reasons. If you are struggling with life and everything it brings, know you are not alone, and you can get through this challenging time.

There have been times in my life when I was completely consumed by the negative thoughts in my head and couldn't see a way forward. Life does get better, I promise you this.

Here are some tips that I use when I feel overwhelmed and bordering on an anxiety breakdown.

1. Stop! Pause! Put the brakes on!
2. Notice all your thoughts and body sensations. Notice all the different negative noises running through your mind. Notice how automatic these thoughts are. 👀
3. Breathe. It helps relax your mind and body sensations.
4. Notice that the thoughts are based on a perceived breakdown, obstacle, or situation you can't see through.
5. Stop believing the negative noise in your head. It's not true; it's just reacting to a perceived perception that you are going to fail or you won't survive the breakdown or situation in front of you.
6. When you have your thoughts and body sensations regulated, create an action plan that will have you successfully work through the situation.
7. Believe you can achieve the outcome you have created and start collecting evidence that the desired outcome is possible.
8. Take actions consistent with your outcome happening in reality.
9. Talk to someone qualified to help you through your challenges if this is too hard.
10. Remember, you are stronger than you think you are, and you have it in you to overcome these challenging times. Look, you have survived 100% of your life so far.

Reach out if you just need to talk.

Please share this with someone who needs to hear this today.
